Dr. John J. Oppenheimer received his medical degree from Temple University, completed his residency at Robert Wood Johnson University in New Jersey, and Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the National Jewish Center for Immunology and Medicine in Colorado.
Presently, Dr. Oppenheimer is the Director of Clinical Research at Pulmonary and Allergy Associates, PA (city, state needed here). His primary research interests include skin tests, immunotherapy, allergic rhinitis, and asthma. He has conducted over 100 clinical investigations over the last 15 years.
In addition to his private practice and research career Dr. Oppenheimer is a member of the Asthma Task Force of New Jersey's Department of Health, the Indoor Air Quality Committee of the ACAAI, and serves as Vice Chair of the Clinical Therapeutics Committee of the AAAAI and Vice Chair of the ACAAI's Immunotherapy Committee. He participates in multiple professional societies and currently sits on the Executive Board of Directors for the New Jersey Allergy and Immunology Society.
Dr. Oppenheimer is a member of the Annals of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Editorial Board and is a reviewer for the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
He is an international speaker on asthma and allergy and has published more than 30 articles and numerous book chapters.
