Natalie Schmitz, MMSc, PA-C

Natalie Schmitz, MMSc, PA-C is a practicing Physician Assistant since 2005.  Prior to attending Emory University School of Medicine, Physician Assistant Program, she graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology, interned at the CDC in Western Kenya, and worked as an ophthalmic assistant at the Emory Eye Center.

After graduating PA school in 2005, she worked in the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine before taking a job in emergency medicine at Dekalb Medical Center in Atlanta, GA.  As an Assistant Lead PA with CEP America, Natalie wanted to become more involved in furthering her PA profession particularly in emergency medicine.

Through being a SEMPA member, she accepted an appointment to ACEP's Public Health and Injury Prevention Committee which she is still actively involved.  Following this appointment she ran for a SEMPA Board of Director position. Currently, she is President Elect of SEMPA. 

In addition, she serves as Chief Delegate representing emergency medicine to the American Academy of Physician Assistants, House of Delegates. On a local level, Natalie serves on the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants Legislative Affairs Committee and as a PA representative on the Georgia College of Emergency Physicians, Board of Directors.

Natalie also co-owns two businesses in Atlanta with her fiance where she resides.
