Dr. Allan T. Luskin is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He also has a full-time clinical practice at Dean Medical Center in Madison, where he directs the Center for Respiratory Health, a referral source for patients with recalcitrant and severe lung disorders. Dr. Luskin established and directed The Allergy/Immunology Training Program at Rush Medical College. He served on the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s (NHLBI) National Asthma Education and Prevention Program (NAEPP) Coordinating Committee and on its Executive and Long-Range Planning subcommittees. He co-chaired the Professional, Patient, and Public Education Subcommittee and the Managed Care Subcommittee. He chaired the Asthma in Pregnancy Working Group of the NHLBI that developed the Treatment of Asthma in Pregnancy guidelines. Dr. Luskin serves on the AMA Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement Asthma Work Group, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations’ Asthma Expert Panel and the NCQA Respiratory Measurement Advisory Panel. He served on the Joint Council of Allergy Asthma Outcomes Measures Expert Panel and its Outcomes Oversight Committee. He is a member of the select Joint Task Force on Asthma Quality Measures.

Dr. Luskin has served on the editorial board of the Annals of Allergy and its editorial council. He has written more than 45 original articles, 22 book chapters, supplements and white papers and 60 abstracts on respiratory disease and outcomes management. He was Vice-President of the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology and served on its Board of Regents and Executive Committee. He has been the recipient of the Distinguished Fellow award of the ACAAI and received its Distinguished Service Award. He has given the Bela Schick, John McGovern and Stanislous Jaros named lectureships and received multiple teaching awards. He received the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute’s Exemplary Service Award. His current research focuses on clinical and economic outcomes management in obstructive respiratory and allergic diseases.
