Prior to co-founding SRxA he founded Strategic Implications International (SII), a healthcare education company, which became among the first commercial entities to be accredited by the ACCME as a Continuing Medical Education provider.  SII developed and operated the first all-credited content website (cme-ce.com) in 1996, and in 1998 the company became the first content provider to offer credited CME courses through the AOL Digital Cities network.

He co-founded Cogent Interactive Communications in 1994, which was later merged with SII. In 1998 SII was acquired and continues to trade to this day under its original name as a division of Cardinal Health.  The company was involved in numerous new product launches, primarily in the Respiratory, CNS, and Oncology arenas. Major new product introductions included Serevent, Fluovent, Fluonase, Imitrex, Zantac, and others.

Prior to the commencement of his pharmaceutical career, he directed the Continuing Education Department at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, a Tufts Medical School Affiliate, and developed the hospital's first Out-Patient Respiratory Care Clinic under the medical direction of Dr. Gustav Laurenzi. His experience includes clinical practice in Critical Respiratory Care and Extracorporeal Circulation at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Cardiac Anesthesia Research at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He is Board Certified and Registered by the American Board for Respiratory Care (Reg. No: 20218).

He served as project funding evaluator to the European Commission (EUROPA) Directorate General Information Society (former DG XIII) in 1995.  He has coauthored several clinical publications, and he lectures frequently on various topics nationally and internationally.  He is a Lifetime VIP Member of the Presidential Who’s Who among Business and Professional Achievers (2008), the Cambridge Who’s Who (2007), the Marquis Who’s Who in Medicine & Healthcare 2004-2005, the Who’s Who among top Executives (1997), The Sterling Who’s Who Executive Edition, and The Who’s Who Worldwide Registry of Business Leaders.  He is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) licensed Private Pilot with an Instrument Rating.
