Dr. Oppenheimer received his medical degree from Temple University, completed his residency at Robert Wood Johnson University in New Jersey, followed by his allergy/immunology fellowship at National Jewish Center for Immonology and Medicine in Colorado.

Presently, Dr. Oppenheimer is the Director of Clinical Research at Pulmonary and Allergy Associates, PA. His primary research interests include skin tests, immunotherapy, allergic rhinitis and asthma. He has conducted over 100 clinical investigations over the last 15 years.

In addition to his private practice and research career he actively participates in various committees. Currently, he is a member of the Asthma Task Force Dept of Health of NJ; Indoor Air Quality Committee (ACAAI); Vice Chair, Clinical Therapeutics Committee (AAAAI); and Vice Chair Immontherapy Committee (ACAAI). He participates in multiple professional societies and currently sits on the Executive Board of Directors for the New Jersey Allergy and Immonology Society.

Dr. Oppenheimer is a member of the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immonology Editorial Board, and a Reviewer for Journal of Allergy & Clinical Immonology.

He is an international speaker on asthma and allergy, and has published more than 30 articles on asthma and allergy and written numerous book chapters.
